Our love story begins like all good love stories, at a rooftop party with some cocktails on a beautiful spring day. But alas, despite immediately hitting it off the stars didn't seem to align at first for our main characters love story. They thought it was just an amazing one time encounter, however, they would turn out to be wrong! (Hope I didn't give away the ending)

The woman, lead, who recently broke her foot and had been in a boot for 8 weeks, was asked by her best friend if she would like to drink on top of a roof with her for St. Patty’s Day. Let’s call the woman lead Cassondra. Well Cassondra can’t say no to Georgey, especially since it was 50 degrees for the first time in a long Minnesota winter. Cassondra accompanied Georgey and her fiancé, Zack, to a festive party on a roof.

The male lead, who was wearing two different colored shoes at the time, introduces himself as Zac. Now Zac and Cassondra met briefly, exchanged pleasantries, and went along their way. At this point, Zac had said it was “love at first sight”. Cassondra will tell you it was “love at first conversation”. The two leads found themselves back in conversation after several beverages. Zac, 1 or 6 beverages deep, pronounced the lead woman’s name wrong-CassAndra. CassOndra of course hates that and corrects him. That is when Zac dubs Cassondra into Cass. From that moment, there was no going back.

Again, like every good love story there was a twist. Zac and Cass were both promised to others in far away lands. But as time progressed Cassondra couldn’t stop thinking about those two different colored shoes. Time goes on.

Eventually Zac and Cassondra meet again, but this time fate so had it that both of them were single! Zac, who most would not generally say is a "smart" man, makes the smartest decision he will ever make and asks her on a date. He takes Cass to brunch, the zoo, on a river ride, and out for tacos. (Picture above is their first date!)

From that first encounter on the rooftop to now, these are some of the couple’s greatest chapters:

* Zac and Cass take on Des Moines and watch Red Bull’s Soapbox Derby.

* Cass takes Zac to South Dakota to see where she grew up.

* Zac and Cass spend their first summer together camping, going to events like the Great Minnesota Get-Together and Viking’s games, and building Legos.

* Cass and Zac go to their first wedding together-the Gapinski’s!

* Cass takes care of Zac during knee surgery, but don’t worry, Zac then has to take care of Cass for two hip surgeries.

* Zac and Cass take on Vegas!

* Winter brings skiing, ice castles, paragliding, oh my!

* Zac getting his first tattoo and it’s matching tattoo with Cass. (no turning back now!)

* Cass and Zac get to pet otters on their first Valentine’s Day date.

*Zac and Cass go to Colorado for a ski trip with his brother and his wife.

* More events go by such as: holiday parties, Renaissance festivals, fairs, concerts, even more trips to the zoo, Twins games, and river rides.

* Cass and Zac move in together!

* Zac and Cass sail the U.S. & British Virgin Islands.

* Zac asks Cass to marry him!

You can say the rest is history and they plan to live happily ever after.
